Ferro stops the group at a hill with some ancient ruins on top1, and takes the opportunity to check if they’re still being followed. Indeed, there are thirteen riders on the horizon; friends of Finnius perhaps. The group have no chance of outrunning them, so she and Logen agree that it’s best to stay and fight regardless of the odds; they won’t find better ground. There’s no doubt that if Ferro2 ran alone, she could outpace the pursuit, but she feels a growing kinship with Logen and decides to stay. Together they prepare the ground for the fight to come.
